I'm down at my mom's house for the weekend. She lives farther away from the city, so it is a nice place to getaway every now and then. One benefit being out here is there is much less light pollution. As I walked my mom's dog earlier this evening, I got to see stars I would not be able to see back at my apt. I also heard there was a chance that the Aurora Borealas might be visible in my state tonight. I was out walking for about 20 minutes there was no luck. I think I would have stayed out longer if I wasn't shivering in my pajamas.
I normally sleep on the couch when I visit, but I am now on a sleeping bag in my old room. As I got up to turn off the light, I took a look at my room and tried to remember what it used to be like. The furniture and my messy cloths are no longer here, but there are still memories. I noticed all the stapler holes on the wall and started envisioning the poster or pictures that use to be there. Oh the simpler times, I do miss thee. Well, time for sleep, 3 mile run tomorrow.

"I ran into her..."
"...we should have called you, do I have your number?"
You did, but not when it mattered.
She has a child now. Eight months old. I hear he looks precious.
I'm happy for her, really I am.

Going Through the Motions
So there are some things I do that I'm pretty much just doing because, it is what I'm suppose to be doing. I'm going through the motions. I know I'm doing this. Does everyone else know that THEY are going through the motions. Yes, ignorance is bliss and denial makes things so much better, but seriously, think about what you are doing.

Mexican and a Movie
Went out to eat dinner with my friend Melissa to some mexican place. Then went home and finally saw Terminator: Salvation. The movie is not bad.

Commitment
Commitment - noun.
the act of committing
a pledge or promise; obligation
The word "Commitment" has been a large part of my life since high school football. We would yell it at every practice. I would write it on my weekly goals. We would touch a sign over the door in the locker room, every time we went through it. It was engraved into our minds!
So, where am I going with this? I don't remember it is late, but I am committed. I set my mind on something and I will do my best to finish it. I've told numerous people this, I never break a promise - hence I never make a promise I know has a large chance of failure.
